Cold Sparks, Low Fog or Fireworks? Matching the Effect to the Moment

Special effects are at their best when they belong to a moment. Cold spark fountains can make your entrance spectacular, while low fog turns your first dance into a dreamlike scene. Here is how to choose the effect that brings your vision to life.

Your grand entrance: cold sparks

Two or four cold spark fountains framing the entrance to the reception create an instant “wow”. We assess each installation against the equipment specifications and venue requirements, whether the celebration is indoors or outdoors.

The first dance: low fog

A low layer of fog that stays at floor level makes it look as if you are dancing on clouds. Paired with soft lighting, it is the most romantic effect of the evening. Add cold sparks on the final chorus for a stronger finish.

The cake cutting: a short burst of sparks

A brief moment of sparks behind the cake turns a pleasant tradition into a highlight, and gives your photographer a clear cue.

The peak of the party: sparks and haze

When the dance floor is at its fullest, cold sparks and light haze lift the energy even higher. Haze also makes the dance floor lighting visible, so the room feels more alive.

The finale: fireworks

A fireworks display over the sea or the countryside is the most spectacular way to close the night. Fireworks are planned with your venue, with the required permits and safety measures in place, so confirm them early.

Three tips

  • Choose two or three moments, not ten. Effects lose their impact when they are everywhere.
  • Tell your photographer when each effect will happen.
  • Check with the venue about indoor effects, fire rules and finish times.
